Review

This story had me in a chokehold from the first chapter. A werid colony-esque setting that has a lottery called The Moving On? Yes Please! This book felt like the movie The Village which is one of my favorite movies of all time. A threat from outside so dont cross the boarders. Follow the rules. Don't do anything that would give someone a reason to put your name in the lottery. Osira was in survival mode from the moment we met her and I felt for her character so much. This book had a cosmic and folk horror twist that made me so excited, but the ending did not feel complete for the book being a standalone.
