Then another resident drops dead. And another. With bodies stacking up, Rose can’t help but wonder: are these accidents? Old age? Or something far more sinister?

Review
I can say with absolute confidence that this book has clawed its way onto my “favorite books of the year” list—and possibly carved its initials there with a kitchen knife.
This was an amazing and gloriously gory slasher set in a retirement village, which, honestly, is the most unexpected and perfect location for mayhem. The cast of characters is heartwarming, hilarious, and unhinged. I was hooked from the first chapter, torn between wanting to savor every page and frantically speed-reading to find out who would make it out alive (if anyone).
Rose DuBois deserves her own fan club. She might be my favorite character of the entire year, absolutely unforgettable. The Baxter sisters had me cackling out loud like a lunatic, and Tatum? Tatum broke me.
This book is vulnerable, graphic, paced wonderfully and entertaining. It was a bloody good time and I think everyone who enjoys slashers need to read this book!
