Review

This was a challenging book for me to read because it felt like two different books with two different subgenres. The first half of the book leans into literary fiction/horror. The second half takes a sharp turn to creatures and the supernatural. I definitely enjoyed the second half of the book more than the first half and once true horror elements kicked in then I felt that the story found its footing.
