Synopsis

"Child psychiatrist Hannah Cohen thought she could handle difficult cases. But medical school never prepared her for Elena. Nor the demon that's possessing her. Hannah finds a way to rid Elena of her demon, but not without a price.

Years later, Hannah has grown comfortable exorcising the demons of her patients. Until she meets Lucas. Whatever is inside of Lucas is far more powerful than anything she has faced. The denizens of Hell are angry with Hannah. And they sent one of their leaders to destroy her." Via Good Reads

Review

The Doctor's Demons has left me pretty conflicted. On the one hand, I enjoyed this story. It was spooky, had great twists, was gory in places, and it gave me exorcist vibes with the possessed children. However, this book was horribly edited. If you read it, please be aware that there are a lot of grammatical errors, and the names are even wrong in places. When the errors occurred took me right out of the story. It felt more like a first draft than a finished copy.

I loved the story itself and the concept, but the lack of editing brought my reading experience down to 3 stars.

I still recommend this book to people who like ghost stories, possession, and creepy kids. Just be aware going in that there are glaring grammatical errors.
